Who we are
Road Lifter is a mobile tire service for commercial trucks and trailers. One van, one operator, based in the South Bay, working the Bay Area.
There is no shop to drive to. The van is the shop. It carries the jack, the compressor, the tools, and the tires loaded for that call, and it goes to wherever the truck stopped: the shoulder, the scale house, the terminal, the yard.
We work on semi trucks, truck tractors, commercial trailers, dump trucks, garbage trucks, and box trucks. Steer, drive, and trailer positions. That is the whole list, and it is the list the van is set up for.
When you call, you get the person who will show up. No dispatcher reading a script. If the van is on another job, you hear that first, with a straight estimate of the wait, so you can decide.
What is in the van
The tools ride in the van. The tire gets loaded at the yard for each call.
- A gas compressor and a portable air tank. Beads seat and tires inflate on the shoulder with the van running.
- A floor jack and stands with the rating for a loaded trailer axle.
- A bead breaker, tire irons, and mounting tools, so the demount and mount happen on the roadside, not back at a shop.
- Your tire. We keep new and used tires in all common commercial truck and trailer sizes at the yard, steer and trailer patterns, and load your size before we roll.
- A torque wrench. Every lug nut gets torqued to spec before the van leaves.
Tell us the size on the sidewall when you call. If we cannot get your size, we say so on the phone, before anyone waits on a shoulder for nothing.
How we work
- You call or text. We ask where the truck is, truck or trailer, which tire, the size on the sidewall, and whether it can roll. Thirty seconds.
- You hear the price before we roll. Tires, sales tax, and the California tire fee on new tires are extra and quoted with it.
- We roll. Traffic on 880 and 580 moves arrival times, so you get a real estimate on the phone, not a slogan.
- Repair or replace, and why. A puncture in the tread on a sound casing gets repaired. Sidewall damage, a run-flat blowout, or a separated tread means a new tire. You see the reason before the work starts.
- Torqued, checked, invoiced. Lug nuts to spec, pressure checked, and the invoice matches the number you heard on the phone.

Outside the list? Call anyway. If we cannot get to you fast enough, we say so instead of leaving you waiting.

This site is new. The van is not.
Every photo and clip here was shot in and around the van, with the tools and tires it carries on a call. Nothing is stock.

Questions about the operation
Is it really one van?
Yes. One van, one operator. If the van is on another job when you call, you hear that first, with an honest wait, so you can decide whether to hold or call someone else.
Who answers the phone?
The owner. The number on this site rings the phone that rides in the van. No call center, no answering service, and we do not record calls.
Is there a shop I can drive to?
No. The van is the shop. Give us the location and we come to the truck, on the shoulder, at the scale, or in the yard.
What vehicles do you work on?
Semi trucks, truck tractors, commercial trailers, dump trucks, garbage trucks, and box trucks. Commercial trucks and trailers only. Steer, drive, and trailer positions.
Do you carry tires or only repair them?
Both. We keep new and used tires in all common commercial truck and trailer sizes at the yard and load your size before we roll. Tell us the size on the sidewall when you call.
Where is the van based?
The South Bay. There is no public address because there is no shop, and the van spends its day on the road. See contact for how to reach it.
